about

Engineered by Andrew Dennis at the Hevvy Time Records studio megaplex for FreezeCorp, 2013.

The song order here is the order in which we wrote them. During rehearsals, we refer to them as Song 1, Song 2, and Song 3. Thermal Necrosis represents the very beginnings of Freeze, and it is our first official, physical release. Recorded with a Tascam four-track analogue cassette deck. Andrew wanted to avoid digital recording, a means I naturally gravitate towards, and I think the results are spectacular.

I wrote the lyrics and music to all three tracks, before I met Andrew. He helped me breathe new life into them. He's dedicated to the Freeze cause, the best guitarist I've ever worked with, and an up-and-coming drummer. Except some of the lyrics to TEIAH I wrote the day prior to recording, because I just wasn't happy with the silliness of the first version, originally titled Slicing Snakes. Now it's about a fictional monstrosity I made up, devouring the world, which is somehow less silly to me.

Andrew abhors online band marketing, but I'm a student of communications, pursuing a PR career, so you get me explaining everything to you like I've actually done something for someone or something. Andrew also co-wrote ITFD, both lyrically and musically.

Adrian played drums for the recording sessions.
